1. Maximize your headline. Think of your headline as your career elevator pitch. Anyone can see it below your name, so optimizing it will entice employers to click on your profile. Instead of simply using your job title (or, gasp, leaving it blank), pack it with juicy, at-a-glance details.

2. Share your job-seeking status. Add the “Open to Work” badge to your profile picture to show employers that you’re interested in new opportunities.
Tip: Adjust your settings so only recruiters can see the badge if you don’t want your current employer to know that you’re looking.
3. Engage. Show employers that you’re an active participant in your industry by commenting on and sharing relevant posts. Gain exposure to new audiences and recruiters by engaging with high-profile users and prominent companies.
Tip: Take it a step further and write your own posts. Share your thoughts on industry news, highlight new achievements or certifications, and don’t forget to show off your personality!
