It’s that time where it’s too cold to wear a t-shirt or cute blouse alone — jacket season has officially arrived. Layering all your favourite pieces is the best part of the season, and we have compiled a list to help. There are so many different options, it can be hard to decide which jackets to go with for the season. SNTF has picked the seven most stylish, work appropriate, jackets that you need to invest in this fall.

The Blazer
For days when it’s not too warm, but not too cool, a blazer is the perfect jacket to have hanging in your closet. The most upcoming trend is the menswear trend, so pair this jacket with some straight legged slacks and a bright button-down shirt. Now not only will you be ahead of the fashion curve, you will also have the perfect look for work.

The Leather Jacket
A leather jacket is a wardrobe staple that every woman needs to invest in. This jacket can add a cool edge to any outfit or it can be paired with a feminine dress for great contrast or ripped jeans, combat boots and a turtleneck sweater for a bit of a rocker look.

The Bomber Jacket
The ultimate throwback. This past year, bomber jackets have really made a comeback. There are so many different types of bomber jacket, picking just one is hard. Our favourites are the satin version, as it gives a feminine feel to the otherwise military style. This jacket is so versatile, it is great for going to work, to date night, to weekend relaxing.

The Teddy Jacket
When we were younger, we loved cuddling with our teddy bears. It was comforting and kept us warm. So, why wouldn’t you buy a jacket that felt as cozy as your teddy bear? This jacket is more casual than most but still makes a fashion-forward statement.

Sherpa Lined Jackets
These can be found in leather, denim, puffers – but our favourites are corduroy. Found in all colours, the pastel ones are the best way to move into Fall, while still living for Summer. The corduroy is an ode to the 90’s and the sherpa will keep you warm. This jacket is the best way to be uber fashionable, yet cozy at the same time.

The Suede Moto
A fun twist on the classic leather motorcycle jacket. This softer version is great with floral dresses, or with a tight pencil skirt and blouse. Throw on a suede jacket for those crisp, dry fall days.

Plaid Wool Jacket
Nothing screams fall more than the classic red and black plaid. Retire your favourite flannel top and elevate your look with this statement coat. The wool twill of the coat will keep you as warm as your flannel would but looks clean and chic. Add a pair of dark denim jeans and Chelsea boots; you’re ready to be the envy of all your friends.
