Fashion Jobs – Five Winter Runway Trends You Can Actually Pull Off

Style Nine to Five - Fashion Jobs in Canada

Although runway fashions may not make up the bulk of your closet, that doesn’t mean you can’t take inspiration from them. Luckily, winter 2017’s trends are fun, stylish and sure you keep you cozy and chic at the same time.

This winter, if you’re looking for ways to upgrade your wardrobe take notes from the pros and incorporate some high fashion trends into your repertoire.

From puffers to luxe velvet, we’ve rounded up five winter runway trends inspired by the runways that you can actually afford to pull off.

1. Fun Ski Coat

Fun Ski Jackets

Calling all snow bunnies! Even if the slopes aren’t your thing, the ski jacket is a winter wardrobe staple. Seen here from Balenciaga, you don’t have to be an Alpine pro to rock this trend. Bring out your jacket from the back of the closet and pair it with a fitted skirt or pair of high-waisted trousers for the workplace. Extra points if it’s in a vibrant hue.

2. Chic Puffer Coat

Chic Puffer Coats

Not only will puffer coats keep you toasty warm, but you’ll look cool wearing them. Seen here at Vivienne Westwood, they come in many styles from futuristic to subdued. Metallics are in, so try pairing a gold or silver puffer with a little black dress for a fun, chic night out look.

3. Turtleneck

Layered Turtlenecks

Instead of tossing your spring dresses aside, layer them over a comfy turtleneck for everyday glam, like this look from Valentino. The best part? It’s a second layer of clothing to keep you warm all while looking like a million bucks. The colour and pattern combinations are endless.

4. Fur

Faux Fur

Faux fur is thankfully making its way back into the fashion world – and for good reason. It not only adds a serious dose of glam to any look, but it can also be dressed up or down. Try rocking a fur-lined collar (like this Dior look) or drape a fur stole over a blazer for a sophisticated, elegant look.

5.Velvet

Luxe Velvet

Nothing says Royalty like velvet. Feel like a queen in a sleek, velvet dress this winter. Pair with layered necklaces, a cross-body bag and fierce shoes, as seen at Prada.
