The warmer days finally mean we can start wearing sandals and let our toes breathe after months of being banished to boots and closed toe shoes. However, just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you can throw all office dress code rules out the window. Generally speaking, flip-flops are a definite no, if you can wear it pool-side or to the beach, it’s not for the workplace, and anything that can easily slide on and off your foot is too casual. Rules vary from office to office and of course you know best what’s allowed but if you’re unsure just how casual you can go, look to your superiors and co-workers before breaking out your sandals. And don’t forget a pedicure! If your toes are showing, this is a definite must.
