Finding the perfect outfit for a job interview in the winter can be a little difficult, especially when staying warm is a main concern. Piling on sweaters can look disorganized and unprofessional, however the key is finding the right medium. An ensemble taking both style and practicality into account is the ideal goal. Unfortunately, we aren’t so lucky to live in year-round tropical weather and are forced to get creative when the temperatures drop. However, this fall/winter season, a few practical trends have surfaced. One of my personal favourites is the runway-ready oversized wool coat. Mango’s seasonal collection included the affordable textured wool-blend oversized coat at an affordable $79.95. The oversized coat gives a semi-formal, semi-casual look and can be paired with any outfit. Another popular trend this season is the printed pencil skirt; luckily warmth this season won’t be compromised since conservative is the new sexy. Zara’s collection includes a few skirts with gorgeous and unique patterns, the bright blue print pencil skirt sold at $69.90. The bold statement piece can be topped with one of H&M basics, the black long sleeved chiffon blouse at $49.95. These pieces can be easily mixed and matched, and customized to your own style by adding your favourite pumps or accessory. This outfit is suitable for any job interview and is sure to give an amazing first impression, if not land you that coveted position.
