It’s that time of year again, the weather has gotten a bit cooler, the leaves are beginning to change and we can hear the faint sound of the school bell summoning us to class. We may not be ready to trade the beach in for a desk and long summer nights for study sessions, but it’s not all bad. With the cool weather come new, cozier wardrobe options designed to keep you stylish and comfortable all the way till exam season (sorry for bringing that up). The fashion forward student should take tips from the runway and apply them to every day. Feeling blue about the transition? Channel those feelings into some cobalt pieces; this colour dominated the runway this season. Try layering different shades of the hue, or opt for a brighter look by colour blocking your layers. Another trend that has made its way here from the 90’s is the grunge trend. Seen on collections such as Saint Laurent, this trend screams comfort and style. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the spectrum we’ve seen tons of bright metallic accessories. Use this style guide while doing your back to school shopping and you will, no doubt, be the trendiest one in class.
