H&M is almost as busy as Karl Lagerfeld these days. Though the Swedish retailer took a break from their highly lauded designer collaborations, they have forayed into greener pastures with creative endeavors, such as this month’s eco-friendly collection ‘Conscious Exclusive,’ a summer campaign fronted by mega-star Beyoncé, and an exceptional debut at Paris’ recent FW 13 Fashion Week. Yet, their most recent newsworthy launch features one of fashion’s real superstars, models – but this time, off duty.
Due in stores mid-April, the exclusive collection features easy to wear street-worthy pieces inspired by the leggy ladies, as snapped between shows. Bohemian accents of fringe, metal and leather embellishments offset basic model staples, such as ankle boots, boleros and cutoffs, as do covetable pieces like this leather biker jacket. Aptly entitled, ‘The Icon,’ the collection’s campaign is fronted by some of the runways most notable (and younger) it-girls, Lindsey Wixson, Joan Smalls, Daphne Groevenald and Liu Wen – a quartet that will inspire you to start picking up pieces faster that you can say Gisele.
