Today marks the first day of World Mastercard Fashion Week and even though we are still awaiting the warmer days of spring, this week’s designers already have me excited for Fall/Winter 2013. Last week, The ShOws featured a great selection of talent such as Tanya Taylor and Jean-Pierre Braganza promising what is to come over the course of the next five days. Under the direction of IMG now for its second season, David Pecaut Square will be thriving with editors, bloggers, industry hot shots and fashion lovers from all over. Mercedes-Benz Start Up graduate, Caitlin Power, along with Lucian Matis, Christopher Bates and Sid Neigum are just a handful of designers that will be featuring their collections on the cat walk. Event highlights include the much anticipated Heart Truth Runway Show, sponsored by The Heart and Stroke Foundation, where some of Canada’s golden talent will strut their stuff down the runway while sharing the spotlight with the models who are heart disease survivors.
