It’s no surprise that Elizabeth Olsen, the darling, younger sister of the famed Olsen twins, would become a rising fashion ‘It’ girl and actress to watch. Growing up with two powerhouse sisters would be difficult when trying to shine in your own light, but having two complete couture and ready-to-wear lines at your disposal always helps. With a hot new beau, Boyd Holbrook, who also happens to be her co-star in the soon to be released film Very Good Girls on her arm, she simply can’t go wrong. Elizabeth sets trends on the daily, and coincidentally is inspired by Hollywood films herself, including a lazy Sunday ensemble reminiscent of Annie Hall, to livening it up at red carpet soiree’s where she dazzles in yellow, brocade Pucci cocktail dresses, and tiered, red Valentino gowns.
Oddly enough, despite her fashionista/designer sisters Mary Kate and Ashley (The Row, Elizabeth & James)- and the fact that she’s the namesake of the Elizabeth- she’s been quoted saying she’s not a huge fashion person. That’s what they all say, right before they break it big and have every celebrity stylist fighting to plan their daily wardrobe. Well for now, we’ll just say this Martha Marcy May Marlene star-nominated for best Actress against veterans like Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, and Tilda Swinton- is a born natural, with a little help from her friends and family. I’d take a cue from her effortless, west coast style any day!
