As our Retail Operations Lead, you’ll be the cornerstone of our operations, serving as a vital link between our retail and operations teams. You’ll not only oversee essential functions like inventory, reporting, and cross-functional projects but also play a pivotal role in empowering our teams to achieve their goals. With a sharp eye for detail and a positive, proactive approach, you’ll help drive our business forward and foster a culture of excellence at every level.

This role is a 6 month contract with potential to extend or grow dependant on your skills & experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:
Plan and oversee annual markdowns, inventory counts, and seasonal flips, coordinating with Marketing to maintain inventory freshness and optimize revenue. Collaborate with the COO on aging inventory and markdown pricing strategies.

Reporting & Data:
Generate and manage inventory and on-hand reporting, fulfilling department data requests, and keeping the master Scorecard current across all departments.

Process & Training Documentation:
Develop and update training materials, policy documents, and project rollout plans; support company training and ensure monthly reviews for accuracy.

Calendar & Scheduling:
Create and maintain the annual retail calendar, aligning with marketing initiatives and key inventory dates.

System Oversight:
Manage retail technology setup and inventory systems (RFID), troubleshooting for retail stores as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with GM’s to assess operational needs, support training, and develop innovative solutions to boost revenue. Lead collaboration with operations, buying, and finance to ensure smooth inventory processes.

Insights & Reporting:
Provide regular, insightful inventory reports that highlight trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:
• Strong in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with inventory management systems (RFID knowledge is a plus).
• Experience with Shopify, Report Pundit an asset
• Familiar with retail technology and troubleshooting.

Experience:
• Previous experience in retail operations or a similar role.
• Proven ability to manage inventory processes and complete projects on time.
