Description

About the job
Melanie Auld Jewelry creates elevated everyday jewelry designed to be worn, layered, and lived in. We are an entrepreneurial team that values creativity, thoughtful execution, and people who are excited to roll up their sleeves. We test ideas often and believe great marketing comes from understanding both the brand and the customer.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a creative marketer who is equally comfortable developing strategy and bringing it to life.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys switching between planning campaigns, writing copy, creating content, designing assets, reviewing performance, and engaging with our community. You'll lead our day-to-day brand marketing while partnering closely with our CEO, E-commerce, Product & Merchandising, Retail, and external agency partners.
Success in this role requires equal parts creativity and business acumen. You'll be responsible for building a consistent brand across every customer touchpoint while continuously testing and optimizing creative to improve engagement, customer acquisition, and sales. From organic social to paid advertising, you'll use performance insights to refine creative, identify opportunities, and drive measurable business results.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, has exceptional taste, understands what performs across digital channels, and enjoys turning ideas into polished campaigns.
What You'll Do
Social Media
• Develop and execute our social media strategy, with a primary focus on Instagram.
• Plan and manage content calendars that support product launches, seasonal moments, and brand storytelling.
• Create and publish daily content including Reels, Stories, carousels, and feed posts.
• Conceptualize, create, and test organic and paid social creative, partnering with our paid media team to continuously improve ad performance.
• Manage community engagement, including comments, direct messages, and customer interactions.
• Monitor platform trends, customer behaviour, and content performance to continually improve results.
Marketing Planning & Email
• Own the marketing calendar, ensuring product launches, campaigns, promotions, and creative deliverables are planned and executed on schedule.
• Develop the content strategy for our email marketing program.
• Translate campaign objectives, product launches, and promotional initiatives into clear creative briefs for our external email agency.
• Provide copy direction, product recommendations, messaging, and creative feedback throughout the development process.
• Partner closely with the agency to ensure campaigns align with the marketing calendar, merchandising priorities, and brand direction.
• Independently build and design 1–2 brand-led emails each week.
Influencer Marketing
• Own our influencer marketing program through ShopMy.
• Build and maintain relationships with creators, stylists, and brand partners.
• Develop gifting strategies that support product launches and seasonal campaigns.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage ongoing influencer partnerships and collaborations.
• Track affiliate performance and use insights to optimize future partnerships.
Creative & Design
• Design marketing assets across email, social media, website, paid advertising, and retail.
• Coordinate the production of printed marketing materials when required.
• Ensure all creative assets maintain a consistent visual identity across every customer touchpoint.
• Help evolve and maintain the Melanie Auld brand across all marketing channels.
Photoshoots & Content Production
• Plan and coordinate quarterly brand photoshoots to support seasonal campaigns and product launches.
• Develop creative concepts, shot lists, and product storytelling in partnership with the E-commerce and Product & Merchandising teams.
• Coordinate key logistics including talent, photographer, locations, product selection, and timelines.
• Ensure creative assets are delivered on schedule and meet the needs of marketing, email, social media, and e-commerce.
Reporting & Performance
• Monitor performance across email, social media, influencer marketing, paid creative, and promotional initiatives.
• Analyze engagement, traffic, conversion, customer acquisition, and sales to understand what is driving results.
• Share insights and recommendations that improve future creative, campaigns, and marketing strategy.
What We're Looking For

• Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to write in an established brand voice.
• Excellent visual taste with an understanding of photography, design, styling, and content creation.
• Experience planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns from concept through launch.
• Experience developing and testing high-performing paid social creative, with a strong understanding of how creative influences campaign performance across Meta platforms.
• Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Business Suite, ShopMy, and AI tools is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable creative and marketing recommendations.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
