About Style Nine to Five

Style Nine to Five is Canada's fashion industry job board and career resource. We help people break into and grow their careers in fashion through job listings, career advice, video courses, career services and educational content.

We're looking for a creative, entry-level Social Media Content Coordinator who loves social media, video editing, and storytelling. If you're always thinking, "This would make a great TikTok," we'd love to meet you.

The Role

You'll work directly with Christie Lohr, Founder of Style Nine to Five, helping turn career advice, interviews, and fashion industry insights into engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and our newsletter.

This role is perfect for someone looking to build a career in social media, content creation, or digital marketing while gaining hands-on experience working alongside one of Canada's leading fashion career platforms.

We'll have occasional content days where you'll help film interviews with Christie, capture behind-the-scenes footage, and gather B-roll. Christie will handle the photography and provide the raw footage. Your role is to package that content into engaging social posts that educate, inspire, and grow our community.

What You'll Do

• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Turn interviews with Christie into engaging career advice content.
• Package one interview into multiple pieces of content for different platforms.
• Create compelling TikToks using strong hooks, captions, and trending editing styles.
• Repurpose blog posts, career resources, and job listings into social content.
• Design simple graphics and carousels in Canva.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and our newsletter.
• Research social media trends and bring fresh content ideas to weekly meetings.
• Support light community engagement by responding to comments and messages when needed.

What You'll Bring

• A passion for social media, fashion, and content creation.
• Experience editing short-form video for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Comfortable using Canva and video editing tools such as CapCut.
• Strong writing skills and an eye for what makes people stop scrolling.
• Organized, reliable, and excited to learn.
• Someone who enjoys taking long-form content and turning it into engaging social media posts.

Requirements

• Must live in the Vancouver area and be available for occasional content days with Christie.
• Comfortable filming interviews and capturing B-roll using Style Nine to Five's equipment.
• Able to take one interview or piece of content and turn it into multiple pieces of content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and email.
• Excited to bring new ideas, trends, and creative concepts to the Style Nine to Five brand.

Location: Remote (Vancouver, BC)

Hours: Part-time, Contract (5 hours per week)

Compensation: $20/hour
