London Fashion Week FW25 Recap

London Fashion Week FW25 Recap - Style Nine to Five

Fashion month continued from New York to glamorous London. Fashion Week in London is known for risk-taking and avant-garde style, and the Fall/Winter 2025 collections didn’t disappoint. Let’s take a look at what went down in London this season.

Erdem

In collaboration with Scottish artist Kaye Donachie, known for her evocative and moody portraits, Erdem presented a collection infused with a poetic and ethereal essence through engineered prints, organza appliqué, and hand-painted leather accessories.

The silhouettes showcased a juxtaposition of bold forms and delicate textures with full skirts, pronounced shoulders, and flowing capes. The colour palette ranged from deep, inky blues and ghostly greys to antique pinks and muted apple greens, reflecting the tones of Donachie’s paintings.

Floral motifs, a signature element of Erdem’s designs, were reimagined with an artistic twist as hand-stitched crochet flowers and painted sequined blooms. As poetic as the collection was, it was also very wearable, featuring voluminous skirts, leather coats, and sequined sheer pieces.

Richard Quinn

Richard Quinn presented a stunning collection that celebrated the art of dressing up for life’s special moments, delivering high-impact glamour amidst a fantastical winter setting. The collection paid homage to old-Hollywood glamour, drawing inspiration from iconic figures like Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. A signature theme throughout the collection was the rose, appearing as large 1980s-style floral prints on evening gowns with exaggerated shoulder pads and cinched waists.

The show concluded with Quinn’s bridal collection, featuring floor-length veils and refined embellishments that offered a timeless yet contemporary take on wedding attire. The bridal gowns showcased voluminous skirts, silk blouson sleeves, and exaggerated shoulder pads, embodying Quinn’s quintessential style.

Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha’s Fall/Winter collection took inspiration from childhood memories and school days, with feminine takes on schoolyard motifs. The collection featured playful interpretations of school-related items. Bike locks were repurposed as waist-cinching belts, hares adorned varsity polos and appeared as plush accessories, and oversized ribbons cascaded down garments, adding a whimsical touch.

The pieces balanced youthful nostalgia with refined elegance through contrasting textures—ribbon-laced sneakers and bloomers were paired with polished faux fur stoles, and tweeds matched with bandeaus evoked old Hollywood glamour.

This season saw a more defined role for menswear, with duffle jackets, pleated shorts, fur-trimmed knits, and jewel-embellished socks drawing from school uniforms but presented in a modern way.

Burberry

Burberry’s Creative Director, Daniel Lee, reflected the brand’s heritage through a collection inspired by grand, stately homes and equestrian themes. Staying true to Burberry’s legacy, the collection emphasized outerwear with classic trench coats reimagined in embossed leather and capes crafted in knit and shearling, complete with traditional trench elements. Equestrian styles were evident through jodhpur trousers and high leather boots, blending practicality with sophistication.

The collection featured luxurious materials like velvet brocade suits and embossed leather trench coats, giving a nod to the opulence of country house interiors. Tapestry-inspired jacquard weaves and patchwork shearling added depth and richness to the pieces.

Always an exciting show for accessories, we saw oversized scarves, signature check leather boots, and the new B Bracelet bag, which fuses saddle shapes with a curved top handle. Jewelry featured stars and fireworks in light-catching hand-set stones and colourful enamel ribbons, adding a touch of old-world glamour.

The Bottom Line

London Fashion Week never fails to deliver on tradition, craftsmanship, and feminine glamour, and these collections epitomized the best the Brits have to offer. Next stop: Milan Fashion Week!
