As a key player in the Product Division, the Buyer / Merchant collaborates cross-functionally to ensure the identification, planning, and execution of product needs align with critical priorities. Responsible for maintaining brand consistency and market relevance, this role aims to maximize profitability and sales across various product classes, key items, and channels.

Responsibilities:

• Daily interaction with in-store suppliers, involving tasks such as picking, pricing, and authenticating items.
• Sharing valuable product insights with the Management team to inform strategic decisions.
• Developing seasonal merchandising strategies for the business.
• Creating and managing pricing product architecture in collaboration with Buying and Inventory.
• Crafting product assortment needs to reflect brand consistency and market relevance.
• Finding and managing wholesale partnerships and buys.
• Ensuring accuracy in buys and resolving issues between Buying and Inventory.
• Collaborating with Visual Merchandising, Digital, and Store Planning throughout each buy cycle.
• Supporting Open-to-Buy (OTB) conversations and aligning with Planning and FP&A on targets.
• Contributing to other departmental projects as directed.

Skills & Abilities:

• Mandarin not required but an asset.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel/ google sheets
• Deep product knowledge in luxury brands, focusing on handbags and jewelry.
• Analytical skills to interpret multiple data points across various channels and market segments.
• Ability to balance analytical and creative tasks.
• Understanding of season-to-season business performance and ability to drive business based on key financial indicators.
• Acute eye for product and trend awareness.
• Ability to work independently, make sound business decisions, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Natural problem-solving ability, quick learner, and adaptable to change.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative spirit and a willingness to take a hands-on approach when needed
