What You’ll Do:

As a Stylist, you'll be responsible for transforming ideas into compelling visuals and storytelling; playing a key role in content across all platforms. The primary responsibilities include strategizing, planning, creating, and styling creative content. Additionally, you will be deeply involved in the creative process and operations, helping to drive the vision behind shoots and enhancing our creative strategy through innovative outfit building.

What You’re Responsible For:

Creative Operations:

• Project manage special initiatives as assigned, taking a project from start to finish. Ensure enough time is built into schedules for multiple review stages by effectively negotiating timelines with stakeholders.
• Actively involved in various types of shoots, including eCommerce, lifestyle and flat shoots. This assistance can range from setting up equipment to ensuring a smooth flow during the shoot.
• Create and build brand affinity through effective storytelling
• Build inspiring product knowledge materials or educate our staff to ensure we are aligned in our storytelling.
• Develop email marketing and digital ad content while ensuring alignment with branding strategies.
• Styling Lead. Collaborate on setting the seasonal brand direction. Have a thorough understanding of what has been styled so that each shoot will run smoothly, and any necessary garments have been packed and pulled.
• Compile all shoot requests including drop schedule alignments to ensure all garments are pushed on the correct channels, and uploaded on time.
• Represent OAK + FORT on set with models ensuring professionalism at all times.
• Be a key member on set for all shoots. Participate in calendar building so the team at large produces the highest quality work.

Styling:

• Sample management. This involves keeping track of inventory, ensuring samples are available and prepped for shoots, and coordinating their return after use. Communicate effectively to cross-departmental partners and flag any issues with sample tracking that may impact flow of the creation of assets.
• Develop and curate outfits for a variety of purposes. From staff style events, ecommerce photoshoots, campaigns, internal marketing directives, social media and beyond.
• Have a deep understanding of our clients and our muse direction so that outfits are inspiring for brand while also leading to sales generation.
• Build styling documents to achieve alignment with senior stakeholders. Communication being a key aspect of the role.
• Delegate effectively to team members to ensure workload is distributed and timeline targets are met.
• Deep trend analysist.
• Sample management. This involves keeping track of inventory, ensuring samples are available and prepped for shoots, and coordinating their return after use. Communicate effectively to cross-departmental partners and flag any issues with sample tracking that may impact flow of the creation of assets.
• Review photography and flag potential issues directly with the Photo Editor as they pertain to outfitting and styling.
• Ensure the details in the apparel are high-lighted and that a high quality of image is achieved by perfecting the shape and styling of each garment.
• Ensure that the original vision for a garments design is realized in the final outfit.
• Collaborate on setting the seasonal brand direction. Have a thorough understanding of what has been styled so that each shoot will run smoothly, and any necessary garments have been packed and pulled.

Administration:

• Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs);
• Ensure we are on track with projected spend for the Creative Department by filing all invoices in an orderly manner.
• Model booking KPI’s and spend are tracked.
• Coordinate shoot schedule calendar for corporate alignment.
• Coordinate model bookings directly with agency as a representative of the Creative Team at OAK + FORT.

Leadership:

• Identify opportunities for process, procedures and systems to be improved.
• Supervise members of the team to optimize team performance: set goals, measure progress, provide feedback, give clear directions, encourage critical and business thinking.
• High level of flexibility to thrive in the dynamic environment.
• Problem solving a key attribute as unexpected challenges occur, and pivoting plans for the business to thrive are essential.

What You Bring:

• Previous styling experience, including both women's and men's fashion
• Extreme detail-orientation, taking full ownership of one’s responsibilities and consistently ensuring the accuracy and quality of work
• Great multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize
• Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications, include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
