Whether we like it or not, the warm days of summer are quickly becoming cozy fall days with changing leaves and pumpkin-spiced everything. With that, it’s just about time to pack away our shorts and summer dresses, and break out the fall wardrobe. Soft sweaters, longer hemlines, and layered looks are among us. With the blink of an eye, a new season approaches and we begin our transition to fall fashion trends.

This season, the colour to incorporate into your closet is a subtle, yet cool green- pistachio. Somewhere between jade and mint, this pretty shade is fall 2019’s hottest trend. Although it may not be your typical go-to colour when picking out something new, you might be surprised at just how flattering and versatile pistachio can be. Now if you’re a self-proclaimed fashionista, pistachio is probably not new to your 2019 palette or colour scheme. You may already be on board with the latest trend. What you may not know, however, is that this lovely shade of green that we have grown to love this summer is not going anywhere anytime soon!

Fall is usually a season for rich olives, browns, and burgundies. This year however, things in our wardrobes are looking a little lighter in colour. Now you may be wondering just how to take a soft green that worked for the bright days of July and August and transition it into fall. The great news is, it’s simpler than it may seem! As a member of the green family, pistachio pairs perfectly with other earthy neutrals. Make this green feel “fall” by wearing it with warm tones of beige and taupe. Or you may even try something different by adding a pop of navy. Choose statement pistachio pieces this season, like a bold boxy jacket, or killer high rise trousers. Allow the colour to stand out and turn heads, as you head into a brand new season with a bang. Finally, don’t forget to play around with different weights and textures. A chunky knit sweater or creped layering jacket in a pretty pistachio are the perfect way to transition your summer closet to fall in perfect style.
