The city of Montreal is famous for its French influenced culture in the arts, music, and of course fashion. Apart from the city’s infamous retail stores like Ogilvy’s and Holt Renfrew, Montreal has a few other options for designer brands for less. The ideal areas for the best designer finds are Westmount, Downtown and Mile end. For a scavenger-hunt-like shopping experience, head to boutique Eva B. This crafty little shop includes a 1$ thrift pile, as well as a few designer finds. Another chic little spot is Citizen Vintage, a smaller, but warm consignment shop. This hipster favorite is perfect for cozy sweaters and unique pieces of jewellery. Next on the list is Remix Boutique. This consignment store is located in the Westmount area, and carries nearly every luxury brand possible, from Louis Vuitton to Dior. The boutique, located on the 2nd floor, also has a few funky in-store brands, ideal for your spring/summer wardrobe. A little further is La Gaillarde Boutique. This charming Saint-Henri gem, focuses more on vintage goods and second hand clothing rather than brand name items, but still carries quite a few timeless pieces nonetheless. Last up is La Founderie, a campus student favorite, this is a must-see when in Montreal. The quaint little shop also focuses more on vintage and second hand clothing, however, a few designer pieces can be found. These boutiques are worth a visit for a complete, fashion forward wardrobe.
