When it comes to females in the fashion industry, I have to admit we’re pretty spoiled. Almost all of the magazines, blogs and fashion shows are directed toward a female audience. We know exactly what’s in and out in the fashion world because we have constant access to news and images. For guys, it’s a little different, so today I’m going to show you the hottest trends for all you dudes this summer.
This year I’ve really been into pastel colours, for both men and women’s wear. The light hues compliment any skin tone and give off a bright festive vibe for the summer season without being too in your face. Many of the guys I know like to keep things neutral, so pastels would be a great way to integrate some soft colour into your wardrobe.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Spring/Summer shows like Salvatore Ferraganno and Louis Vuitton featured mens outfits and accessories in bright neon shades. If you’re not afraid of a little colour in your wardrobe, try on this bright trend.
Into the sporty look? No problem, many brands like Hermes and Burberry Prorsum have created custom baseball jackets for their Spring/Summer line in honour of the sunny sport.
Going for a more formal look? Leave the stuffy colours in the office this season and step out in a bright shade. Try drawing inspiration from designers like Michael Kors who featured the crayon coloured trend in this seasons line.
Two patterns that are making their way into the scene this year are camo and stripes. Camo has been used in a ton of lines this season giving basic pieces a hard edge, while stripes have been coming at us from every direction.
I hope this post was helpful for all of your fashion curious guys out there.
