One thing we’ve definitely noticed this year is that designers are making a major return of all things ’70s and we couldn’t be happier about it. See all the retro trends that are back into style and what pieces we can’t get enough of.
Bell Bottoms
You definitely can’t think of the ’70s without thinking of bell bottoms, and now they’re hotter than ever before. We recommend purchasing a pair of bell bottoms at a lower price point if you’re not obsessed with this trend, that way you won’t feel guilty about your purchase if you don’t get a lot of wear out of it.
Bell Sleeves
And, along with bell-style bottoms came tops with bell sleeves. What we love about this trend is it can easily be worn dressed down for a more casual look with jeans or dressed up with a skirt and heels for a night out.
Jumpsuits
Jumpsuits were all the rage during this decade, and now, they’ve solidified their place as a wardrobe staple. Whether you prefer skin tight or loose fitting, this is a 70s inspired trend that every woman should give a try.
Peasant Dresses
The peasant dress was a major part of hippie fashion way back in the day, and now, it’s back. This year look, for all the embroidery, tassels, and tie-dye your wild heart desires.
Chunky Boots
Dr. Martens has gone back in time to honour its roots with their new Sex Pistols collaboration collection and have brought the ’70s back in the coolest way. Inspired by the iconic album artwork of Jamie Reid, the Dr. Martens x Sex Pistols collection features styles emblazoned with lyrics from the ’70s hit, Pretty Vacant.
