Outfit details: Dress and jacket from Minimum, purse and booties from Le Chateau, hoops from House of Harlow, ring set from Aldo
While fall is usually the time when dark palettes reign supreme, it’s always nice to bring a bit of colour to your work look. Don’t get me wrong, some vibrant colours are probably just a tad inappropriate for the office (for example, lime green), however, there’s still plenty of options to choose from.
For this week’s outfit, I went with a cobalt blue dress featuring strong and defined shoulders, a printed coat, and black ankle booties. While the dress is fairly figure hugging, it is still modest as it provides plenty of coverage. That’s a key factor to keep in mind when choosing pieces for work. If you find yourself wondering whether a piece is too revealing, then it probably is. I think it’s worth noting that this kind of dress can easily be transitioned out of the office and into the evening too, be it for drinks with the girls, or an industry event. With that said, it’s definitely a versatile staple in my closet!
The print on my coat is an additional piece of visual interest, with my fringed bag rounding up the look, adding just the right amount of edge.
