For those who are lucky enough to escape the winter chill and travel somewhere warm before spring comes, it can be oddly challenging to remember how to dress for warmer temperatures after being bundled up for what now feels like forever!
Airport
Since the city you’re departing from is likely still chilly, be sure to wear comfortable light layers that will keep you warm entering and exiting the airport, but can also be worn once you’ve arrived at your destination if the nights are cooler. These pants from Ann Taylor are hands down the most comfortable yet chic pants I’ve ever worn, and I personally endorse them as a “must have”!
1. ASOS Classic Mac Trench, $122.77
2. Ann Taylor Drapey Crepe Ankle Pants in Dark Sky, $80.30
Hotel Change
Once you’ve checked in and freshened up, it’s time to change and start exploring! A beautifully patterned tunic and bright bottoms are my go-to when I’m somewhere warm. Lastly, a pair of statement making earrings always help dress up an outfit.
3. Anthropologie Kaveri Henley, $98
4. Stella & Dot Mallorca Chandelier Earrings, $54
5. J. Crew 4” Chino Short in Sweet Tangerine, $45 USD
Beach Basics
It doesn’t matter where I’m traveling, but no matter what I always bring multiple fresh white t-shirts. They go with anything, keep you cool, and can be easily dressed up with a scarf. Buy a pack of 3 so you’ll always have a clean one at the ready.
6. Joe Fresh Scoop Neck Tee, $14
7. Banana Republic Caris Scarf, $50
Poolside
I’ve saved the best for last I think…the poolside look! I’m having an obsession with one-piece bathing suits lately as the cruise and resort lines are coming out in stores, and this playfully patterned suit by Tory Burch is on my wish list. Finish off the look with a straw tote, a great pair of neutral sandals and you’re ready to hit the beach!
8. Tory Burch Madura One-Piece Bathing Suit, $250 USD
9. J. Crew Market Tote in Natural Straw, $57.50 USD
10. Aldo Rensa Sandal in Taupe, $60 USD
