As we kiss 2013 goodbye, and welcome the new year, how about tossing a few old trends. From wedge sneakers, high-low hem skirts, beanies and peplum dresses, here are a few trends to hold on to, or replace with a few new ones. One of my favourite trends was the peplum, on skirts, tops, and dresses. However, I think this may be a trend to leave in 2013. For the peplum lover, one of the predicted fashion trends is pleats, giving you a similar effect, and adding curve, and shape. Another trend we ladies should leave behind is the ever so popular (too popular might I add), wedge sneaker. Trade in these babies for the killer platform sneakers. Another trend that definitely needs to be put to rest this year is the beanie. After Balenciaga’s recent splash on the runway with the metallic leggings, it is safe to say that metallic pieces will be in this year. 2014 trends invite a more feminine and delicate wardrobe, with pastels, sheer, and dainty pieces, so kiss the edgy tomboy look goodbye.
