Ovarian Cancer Canada proudly presents LOVE HER, an exclusive gala reception and fashion show. LOVE HER takes place in Toronto on February 23, 2012 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and in Vancouver on February 29, 2012 at the BIRKS Flagship Store. Currently 17,000 women in Canada are afflicted by this hard-to-detect disease; LOVE HER honours these women by helping to raise awareness of the most overlooked and under-diagnosed women’s cancer.
“LOVE HER is a memorable evening meant to support and celebrate women living with ovarian cancer,” says Elisabeth Ross, CEO, Ovarian Cancer Canada. “We want to continue to raise awareness and funds to help change the present reality for those affected by this fatal disease.”
LOVE HER is pleased to announce accomplished comedienne Jessica Holmes as the Master of Ceremonies, best known as the star of Royal Canadian Air Farce. Both Vancouver and Toronto events will also include a fashion show featuring Canadian fashion label JUDITH & CHARLES and will display the latest trends in footwear by STUART WEITZMAN. Guests will enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres while bidding on unique prizes in the live and silent auction. In Toronto, musical stylings will be provided by the smooth and seductive jazz vocals of Shannon Butcher, while in Vancouver, DJ Leanne, a solid contributor to Canada’s thriving DJ scene, will spin the night away. Tickets for LOVE HER are on sale now: $200 general tickets and $2,000 special experience tickets (includes 10 tickets and a special pre-event experience, in Toronto only).
There is no screening test for ovarian cancer and the often late detection of this disease results in a shocking five-year survival rate of less than 30%. Join us at the spectacular LOVE HER event as we celebrate women and raise awareness of the most fatal women’s cancer.
