The drive up Vancouver Island to Port Hardy is something that I’ve done most of my life. I was born in Port Hardy and still go back from time to time to visit my dad. This time around, the six-hour road trip from Vancouver was a breeze – I was able to drive and travel comfortably in a gorgeous, luxury midsize sedan, and I’ve never experienced such effortless performance and smooth control. I’ll admit, there were times I looked at the speedometer and it read 140 – oops!
This 2017 Lincoln MKZ is white with light camel-coloured interior, colours, that you probably know by now, dominate my wardrobe – just look at my Instagram feed, it’s a fresh combo that I’m obsessed with right now. With Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill blasting from the concert-quality Revel® audio, with specially designed doors for optimal positioning of the speakers, and the retractable panoramic glass roof down, it was a fun commute.
As a city-dweller, driving is a luxury that’s almost made impossible by downtown traffic, so I take every opportunity I can to enjoy a long, scenic drive. Which is why the luxury drive of the Lincoln MKZ was even better that I could have imagined with the push-button gear shift. In a click of a button, you’re in drive, and control! Time is another luxury I just can’t spare, with running all the Nine to Five businesses, I need to be available and reachable at all moments. I was so impressed with the technology in this car; the built-in Bluetooth® allowed me to make some Style Nine to Five calls (hands-free, of course!) and keep on-top of everything from the road. There’s really nothing more I could ask for in a vehicle!
