About Style Nine to Five

Style Nine to Five is Canada's fashion industry job board and career resource, helping people build careers in fashion through job listings, career advice, courses, and content.

We're looking for a creative Social Media Content Creator who loves video editing, storytelling, and creating content that people actually want to watch. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who's excited to build hands-on experience while growing with a small business.

If you're the type of person who watches a video and immediately thinks, "I'd turn this into three Reels," we'd love to meet you.

The Role

You'll work directly with Christie Lohr, Founder of Style Nine to Five, transforming career advice, interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, and industry insights into engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, our newsletter, and blog. Your job is to bring it to life through creative editing and storytelling that helps people discover careers in fashion.

What You'll Do

• Edit engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Turn one live call recording into multiple pieces of content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, newsletters, and blogs.
• Design simple graphics and carousel posts in Canva.
• Schedule and publish content across platforms.
• Help brainstorm monthly content ideas and content calendars.
• Stay on top of social media trends and bring fresh ideas to weekly meetings.
• Help grow the Style Nine to Five community through creative, consistent content.

What You'll Bring

• Experience creating and editing short-form video for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Comfortable using Canva and editing tools such as CapCut.
• Strong writing skills and a great eye for what makes people stop scrolling.
• Organized, reliable, and excited to learn.
• A genuine interest in fashion, careers, content creation, and social media.

Details

Location: Remote

Hours: Part-time contract, approximately 5 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as Style Nine to Five continues to grow.

Compensation: $25–28/hour, based on experience.
