• Managing and assisting with all aspects of product development/sampling - from development to pre-production sampling to bulk production sourcing and execution
• Working with Creative Director to develop collections biannually (developing merch plans, inspirations, selecting fabrics, trims, etc.)
• Sourcing, researching, and developing fabrics and trims seasonally - involves regular communication with fabric vendors via email and phone
• Preparing and maintaining tech packs for sampling and production including BOMs, spec sheets, cut tickets, etc.
• Working with artists to conceive and execute graphics
• Create graphic placement, colour, and sizing documents / work with screen printers to execute
• Ensuring fit and specs are accurate on all samples
• Responsible for ordering all fabrics and trims for sampling and production
• Responsible for arranging all wholesale orders and organizing for production
• Ensuring patterns are updated, organized and ready for production - Involves some pattern-drafting and sewing and occasionally working with patternmakers on pattern updates and new development
• Travelling to local factories regularly to meet regarding sampling and/or production + organizing /drop off and pick up of all materials and product
• Responsible for costing all SKUs seasonally
• Responsible for preparing seasonal line sheets
• Maintaining relationships with local factories and ensuring successful integration of new factories
• Maintaining communications with all vendors on a daily basis to ensure sampling and/or production is on track and execute all follow-ups; and ensure vendors meet product requirements and timelines.
• Working with colleagues on product development and production tasks
• Supervision and direction of interns weekly
• Photoshoots - preparing looks, assisting in organizing leading up to shoots and day of, collaborating in styling looks

Skills required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
• Extensive understanding of production cycle, fabrics and trims
• Strong Understanding of pattern drafting and production quality construction methods (able to sew and draft if required)
• Proficient on Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook on a Mac based platform
• Very strong attention to detail + ability to multitask
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license
