About this team
The lululemon Selfcare team is responsible for developing and scaling a new business at lululemon outside of its current business model. The team will be comprised of a group of entrepreneurial leaders who will define & activate the personal care category, including its brand position, product offering, channel development & operations, as well as driving sustainable profitable growth. The team’s accountabilities are in direct support of achieving lululemon’s 10 year vision of achieving 50% of profit growth from categories that do not currently exist.

A day in the life:
• Collaborate with the lululemon Venture team to define product opportunities & develop product briefs

• Develop & build relationships with vendors & contract manufacturers

• Develop product insights & innovation ideas through learning from our guests, educators, suppliers & our overall collective

• Drive team towards 100% buy-ready through project-managing new product development

o Provide leadership and direction to manufacturers to achieve product development goals

o Develop cross functional work plan; track & communicate progress

o Enable cross functional collaboration to achieve all milestones

o Anticipate, identify & proactively resolve development issues

o Engage leadership and cross functional partners in agile decision making

Qualifications:

• bachelor’s degree or 2 more years work experience in new product development and project management in the personal care industry in lieu of a degree

• At least 5 years experience in new product development and project management in the personal care industry required

• At least 2 years experience working with vendors & contract manufacturers

• Passionate about leading cross functional teams and working with vendors to create innovative premium performance products

• Extensive technical knowledge in personal care product & function

• Natural leadership & people management acumen

• Entrepreneurial & agile, a solution-oriented problem solver

• Organized, efficient & calm. Ability to steer through challenges and maintain control during crises.

• Detailed understanding of product development process & ability to lead cross functional teams to meet deadlines
