Product Development Team

To manage the creation and commercialization of premium performance product ensuring it is meeting the required function, aesthetic, & quality standards.

a day in the life of a Product Development Manager - Accessories
• Coach and mentor team by sharing & maximizing best practices, new methods, concepts & functional expertise
• Lead the development team to build premium product (function, form, aesthetic, workmanship, and execution of details); share best practices as relevant.
• Initiate and drive product creation; work with Design & cross functional partners to identify seasonal projects to innovate and build premium performance products.
• Oversee seasonal developments & special projects to completion.
• Collaborate with cross functional team members to ensure full transparency and awareness of style status; responsible to drive 100% Buy Ready of premium product quality, including overseeing performance testing & lab testing of all elements of the product.
• Collaborate with costing teams to ensure product is meeting cost objectives along the development timeline, problem solving as required

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10-15 years of industry experience in product development, with expertise in accessories.
• Natural leadership and people management acumen, with a minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
• Traveled to and worked on site with manufacturers across Asia, Americas, and Europe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, data accuracy, and prioritization.
• Natural leadership and people management acumen, with a minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
• Organized and calm; ability to create an ‘oasis’ for team members during stressful situations.
• Expert in building BOMs, production friendly construction details, & technical package creation.
• Strong technical knowledge of accessories products, construction, & machinery knowledge for product manufacturing.
• Knowledge of product calendar timeline and ability to work against deadlines
• Extensive computer skills, not limited to but including Excel & all Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Illustrator, PLM software, Outlook
