Who is Native looking for?
Reporting to the Merchandise Director, the Inventory Planner and Allocations Analyst plays a critical role in our go-to-market operations. Working alongside your partners in Merchandising, Operations, E-commerce, Finance and Sales, you will support all of our wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels (retail and e-commerce).
You are an excel and systems superstar who already has working knowledge of the inventory and allocation planning process. You’re ready to bring that knowledge to a growing brand, create solutions and implement best-in-class practices. Comfortable in ambiguity, your customer-focused approach to problem solving allows you to think beyond the numbers and put end users first. We’ll be looking to you as the expert for suggestions on how to handle current inventory and improve efficiency and profitability.

What would I be responsible for?
-With direction from Merchandising and Finance, support the sales and inventory forecasting process, the Open-To-Buy and top line sales plans for DTC channels and wholesale
-Support pricing/promotion and SKU management on DTC channels to achieve sales/gross margin goals
-Analyze product performance, recommend changes to improve profitability, develop financial plans based on current trends, to identify space optimization and increase productivity
-Analyze data sets to extract meaningful trends and themes for trend forecasting
-Support post-season hindsight with Merchandising to present key learnings on what worked, what didn’t work and recommend how to go forward to senior management
-Partner with Merchandising to develop pre-season assortment strategy with recommendations of areas of growth and decline from post-season hindsight as well as current in-season selling trends
-Fulfill demand through to stock-to-sale analysis – understand regional/country differences and possible reverse seasonality
-Support weekly allocation and replenishment from breadth and depth perspective for DTC channels (ecom and brick and mortar stores).
-Conduct rigorous size analysis on a regular basis to ensure size allocation is accurate to current trends for current inventory mix and pre-season buys
-Monitor in-season inventory at a colour/size level to maximize sales trends and sell through successes while minimizing markdowns and liabilities
-Negotiate in-season/pre-season inventory moves with wholesale partners if possible
-Send out weekly selling reports to Merchandising for best / worst sellers
-Analyze monthly returns and recap learnings to Merchandising and Design
-3+ years of inventory planning experience (preferably in vertical environment)
-Experience with e-commerce is a huge asset
-Expert knowledge in Excel, including Macros, V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
-Proven ability to learn new processes, systems and programs easily
-Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business or equivalent in experience
-Proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced and ambiguous online environment
-Strong analytical and methodological skills
-Strong financial business planning acumen with a high level of understanding and experience with retail math and retail financial analysis
-Working knowledge of Google applications (Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive)
-Extremely well organized and accurate, with superb attention to detail
-Professional, personable and conscientious
