Title: Fall 2019 Intern

We are a creative, Mac-based publishing company specializing in luxury weddings and events. We are searching for a fall intern for our downtown Toronto office (Queen/Bathurst) who has the desire to experience all aspects of publishing (editorial, sales, graphic design) and can work in a fast-paced environment.

You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and in need of a fall internship for school credit. You are a hard-working individual with top-notch time management skills who take initiative and can work independently or on a team. You have a love of fashion, beauty, flowers, and of course−weddings and extraordinary events! You can juggle multiple tasks at once and always want to pitch-in where needed. Assisting our Content and Fashion Editor, Sales Team, and Social Media Coordinator, you will be part of a tight-knit team working for a national luxury wedding magazine, where you will contribute to the print issue, daily blog, social media, and other exciting special projects.

Internship Dates: September - December 2019

Duties/Responsibilities
• Assist with the creation of daily blog posts
• Source and schedule images for social media
• Pin and tag content from WedLuxe.com to social media sites
• Assist on set at WedLuxe photoshoots
• Contribute to the production of our W/S 2020 issue by assisting both the editorial and graphic design teams
• Update and maintain our client database
• Assist with the packaging and shipping of magazines and researching potential new distribution points
• Assist the sales team with researching new sales leads in the industry
• Assist the sales team with researching new sales leads in the industry and updating and maintaining the client database
• Assist with the packaging and shipping of magazines and researching potential new distribution points

Requirements
• Eligible for school credit
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Fashion, Design, Communications, Marketing, Publishing, or other related fields
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient on a Mac computer
• Strong time management/organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision
• Experience in writing and social media (Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
• Working knowledge of WordPress
• Proficient with Adobe Photoshop (Please let us know in your cover letter if you also have experience with Adobe InDesign)
• Candidate must be available to start September 2020
• Candidate must be available to work a minimum of three days per week. Additional hours may be necessary during busier times of the year.

Please note: Currently this is an unpaid position, however, this is a great opportunity to build your portfolio with valuable work experience and establish yourself in the industry.
