About this team:
The lululemon Selfcare team is responsible for developing and scaling a new business at lululemon outside of its current business model. The team is comprised of a group of entrepreneurial leaders who will define & activate the personal care category, including its brand position, product offering, channel development & operations, as well as driving sustainable profitable growth. The team’s accountabilities are in direct support of achieving lululemon’s 10 year vision of generating 50% of profit growth from categories that do not currently exist.

A day in the life:

• An integral part of the Selfcare leadership team, responsible for developing and living into our vision & goals

• Collaborate with cross functional leadership to identify whitespace opportunities and set product and merchandising strategies for the Selfcare business

• Develop and synthesize market and guest trends and insights and apply to strategy development

• Lead a team to design, develop and merchandize products

• Develop & build relationships with contract manufacturers, scent partners, packaging suppliers to enable innovation

• Partner with cross functional teams including Brand, Community, Training, Store Design and Operations teams to ensure the product vision is delivered to our guests

• Manages primary packaging development in collaboration with brand partners, packaging suppliers, formulators and compliance & regulatory teams

• Drive team towards 100% buy-ready through overseeing project management of all aspects of product development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• 10+ years’ experience in product innovation and research in the beauty or personal care industry

• At least 5 years product development experience working for a global brand

• Minimum 3 years experience leading cross functional teams and working with vendors to create innovative premium performance products

• Extensive brand or market knowledge in the personal care and beauty industry

• Natural leadership & people management acumen

• Strategic, entrepreneurial & agile, a solution-oriented problem solver

• Detailed understanding of product development process & ability to lead cross functional teams through complex processes to meet deadlines
