Job Description

As a Pattern Engineer on our team you will:

• Lead and execute the block programs by partnering with cross-functional partners to establish fit foundations and sizing that satisfy business needs and brand growth

• Working with Design partners, create and manage Fit Theory in order to maintain consistency in fit and sizing across brand

• Update grading and specification templates as needed in PLM for blocks for use by the Technical Developers as efficient and consistent tools in creating proper fit

• Provide guidance and support to PODs on the proper selection of blocks/spec templates for the successful execution of seasonal styles

Key responsibilities:

•Partner with Design on the identification and creation of new blocks and silhouettes to support the business.

•Deliver fit strategies and solves for the proper execution of seasonal styles

•Partner with cross-functional team members on the implementation of blocks to vendors

•Identify problem fit areas and actively pursue solutions for best in class product

•Investigate competitor products in the market to expand our knowledge base and offer new ideas

Required Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Fashion or Apparel Development, or minimum 8+ years direct experience in pattern making for apparel.

• 5-10+ years of apparel industry experience in patternmaking

• 5+ years experience traveling and working on site with manufacturers across Asia, Americas and Europe

• 5+ years experience technical knowledge of performance product and fit

• 5+ years experience technical construction knowledge for product manufacturing

• Strong team player/collaborator, able to work cross-functionally to meet Fit goals

• Strong computer skills (Excel, Adobe Illustrator, PLM software, Microsoft office applications and Outlook)

• Knowledge of product creation calendar timelines and able to work against deadlines
