About this team

The Licensed Markets team supports the product needs of our franchise locations across the globe. This team creates and executes transformative global product strategies that ensure we have the right assortment in the right place at the right time. This team monitors the business on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, understanding changes in trends and reacting to business needs to maximize sales and mitigate risk, with the goal of growing our brand and delivering on our long-term enterprise goals. We possess a deep awareness and intuition of the global marketplace dynamics and regional guest needs and use this knowledge to support our licensed markets in identifying business opportunities to deliver profitable sales growth.

 

A day in the life:

Reporting directly to VP, Global Planning, this position is responsible for licensed markets regional sales targets, gross margin, planned purchases, turn and open to buy management for both pre-season and in-season management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Product Manager on the development of pre-season sales and receipt plans for licensed market regions. Develop, communicate and execute financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of the brand & licensed market regions.

• Creation of long range business plans to support & validate the growth of licensed market regions and to evaluate business opportunities within existing and new emerging licensed markets

• Partner with licensed markets teams to create tops down financial plans to bottoms up style-colour level plans.

• Partner with licensed markets teams to analyze actual sales performance & react based on the needs of the business; revise in-season plans for sales & profitability. Conduct hindsight analysis to incorporate learnings into current & future plans.

• Partner with licensed markets teams to review business on a monthly/quarterly basis to forecast & manage OTB plans to identify and solve for any inventory concerns & seasonal buys.

• Forecast and manage monthly & seasonal product receipt plans and revenue to support FY sales plans. Manage receipts and adjust inventory flow.

• Make recommendations for key financial meetings/decisions in order to maximize sales, profitability and business revenue targets.

• Determine KPIs and develop tools for reporting & analysis based on needs of the business

• Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom line profitability

• Actively engage in a variety of projects & ad-hoc reporting depending on business needs. Exhibits the initiative to look beyond the everyday business to seek out opportunities to maximize business potential.

• Provide support & mentorship to junior team members.

 

Qualifications:

• Four year college degree or equivalent required

• 3-5 years proven experience with data analysis

• Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems.

• Expert knowledge of Excel is required.
