About This Team: 

This role has a team of Managers and Leads based in Vancouver responsible for Managing Global Sourcing responsibilities including Strategy, Cost, Vendor Exploration, Capacity, across Tier 2 -  Fabric, Trims, Packaging and Packing and Tier 3 - Yarn, Chemical, Finish Vendor Partners. These managers are responsible for both Internal and External relationships.

A Day In The Life:

• The Director of Raw Material Sourcing is Responsible for Curating a Global World Class Vendor Base that delivers Brand and Product needs

• This role will develop relationships with Global Raw Material vendor Partners and will drive Strategies with these partners to deliver Business needs

• The role will over see Long Range (5 Year) Raw Materials Sourcing Strategy in line with business needs and Global Sourcing Strategies and is responsible for ensuring seasonal business needs are met.

• The role will manage raw material costing and drive models, processes, and vendor negotiations to deliver raw materials at a "Best Cost" to support product and brand needs

• The role delivers raw materials into our product engine that meet capability, quality and cost requirements to our guests.

• This Role is Responsible for ensuring Strategies are clearly and regularly communicated to Cross Functional Partners.

• This role is Responsible for Ensuring Raw Material Costing Strategies, Head Winds and Tail winds are communicated to FP&A and Cross functional partners.

• Strategic Vendor Partners are appraised of Strategy, Performance, development and growth as appropriate.

• Lead and Develop the Raw Material Sourcing team

• Produce the 5-year Raw Material Global Sourcing Strategy

• Identify Risk and opportunity as it relates to Raw Material Sourcing and Drive Vision and Execute Strategies to support them

• Lead team to  Curate a Global Raw Material Vendor Portfolio to meet the needs of the Brand

• Lead team to Deliver Raw Material Best Cost to meet IMU and FP&A targets driven thro Costing Excellence.

• Support Be Planet Goals - Leading Cost, Capacity, and capability against Be Planet Strategy

• Manage and Lead Strategic Vendor relationships as it relates to Raw Material Sourcing

Qualifications:

• 10+ Years of Supply Chain experience required with direct experience working in apparel raw materials

• Knowledge of Raw Materials - Production, Capabilities and Costing

• Previous Sourcing Experience with Garments/ Raw Materials (Fabric, Trims, Yarns, Packing/ Packaging)

• Extensive experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to establish shared goals.

• Able to effectively articulate strategic recommendations and influence the decision-making process at all levels of the organization.

• A Confident Proven People leader with a passion for developing others.

• You are confident in your strengths, always open to challenges and live with integrity.

• Global Travel will be required for this role.

• Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint experience react to changes in demand or capacity

• Experience with SQL and/or database reporting
