Job: Digital Communications Manager

Reporting to the VP and Sr Manager, Digital Marketing & Ecommerce, the Digital
Communications Manager is responsible for executing honey’s social media and email
marketing strategies, contributing to the growth of honey’s online presence, customer
acquisition and retention, while developing the visual representation of the brand.

Responsibilities:

Social Media & Content Development
• Assist the VP and Sr Manager, Digital Marketing & Ecommerce in developing and executing the social media strategy and visual representation of the brand
• Oversee social media channels, including planning and management of content calendar
• Project manage various aspects of creative, including copy, design and content development, in a positive and authentic way that reflects the brand personality
• Help build, grow and manage honey’s online community by constantly engaging with followers and brands
• Respond to queries in a timely manner in order to foster a positive community and provide an exceptional customer service experience
• Suggest and implement features to develop brand awareness and engagement, such as
promotions and giveaways
• Set specific weekly objectives, analyze and report on key metrics (ie. Instagram insights)
• Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and
applications
• Collaborate with cross-cross-functional teams such as Ecommerce and Buying to align with
business goals and ensure brand consistency
• Assist the Sr Manager, Digital Marketing & Ecommerce in developing and managing paid
social advertising campaigns
• Assist in planning and executing seasonal lookbook campaigns, including designing lookbook content for digital marketing purposes and retail communications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all graphic
representation, including social media, retail communications, e-mail and ecommerce

E-mail Marketing
• Execute e-mail marketing strategy that includes planning, content creation, audience
segmentation, testing, deployment and reporting of key metrics
• Stay abreast of the latest email marketing best practices, strategies, industry standards, and implement such practices to improve campaign open rates
• Generate 8-10 emails per month, in correlation with social media and ecommerce marketing initiatives (topics include new arrivals, trends, promotions, informative emails, etc.)

Retail Communications
• Design in-store signage for visual communications purposes, such as promotions, sales,
commodities and seasonal campaigns
• Design storefront signage including, but not limited to hoardings, vinyl and window displays
• Collaborate with Marketing and Retail Directors on in-store communications and initiatives

Requirements & Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience in social media, graphic design, and/or digital marketing
• Post secondary degree in Marketing, Digital Communications, Graphic Design or relevant
field
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tik Tok and other social media best practices
• Excellent graphic design skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and InDesign
• Possesses photography experience, including basic concepts (such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO) and knowledge of photo editing and retouching
• Excellent communication skills, including copywriting and editing
• Strong attention to detail, organization skills and ability to multitask
• Possesses a positive can-do attitude when responding to management directives
• Able to work independently when required as well as be a team player
• Good understanding of social media KPIs (such as ad reach and engagement)
• Knowledge of Mailchimp, Planoly, Google Analytics and Shopify an asset
