Reporting to the Director, you are a Raw Materials expert and a single point of contact for lululemon teams and suppliers towards development of raw material, performance reporting, processes, SOP and initiatives. You plan and put in place RM strategy that will support regional growth. You seek clarity, be clear and provide clarity to vendors & business.

a day in the life of the Senior Raw Materials Merchandiser

The Senior Raw Materials Merchandiser owns raw material supply chain from developing fabric & trims & executing the bulk. The RM Senior Merchandiser is a technical fabric expert who is passionate about executing seasonal and long-range developments & production related to the region.

• To develop, commercialize & manages bulk production of fabrics that meet the determined technical & quality standards that are appropriate to deliver the highest level of guest satisfaction and performance attributes.

• Building relationship and rapport with the regional mills, understand and leverage their capabilities

• To provide technical support to SSC teams, RMD, on fabric construction and on the technical capability of vendors to deliver the products required.

• To be a support to company’s sustainability initiatives.

• To ensure timely completion of fabric DNA profiles and Esigned texbase tech specs and that seasonal developments are completed as per the GTM calendar to support SSC Raw Material Development.

• You will support in the communication and maintenance of the RM Merch Plan.

• University/College Degree required in textiles science and textiles. We will consider candidates without a degree if the Industry experience demonstrates a strong technical background in Raw Materials (additional 4+ years minimum)

• 10+ years of apparel or textile industry experience and a working knowledge of the industry.

• Experience traveling and working with suppliers in Americas, Europe and Middle-East.

• 5+ years of knowledge of development techniques, (process/equipment etc.) for fabrics and trims (especially labels, zippers and elastics)

• 5+ years technical knowledge gained in manufacturing environment covering all areas of textiles from fibers, yarn, material construction, finishes and printing.

• 5+ years of industry testing standards/test reports experience.

• Strong knowledge of cross-functional team accountabilities and requirements preferred, including design, sourcing, merchandising and quality assurance and calendar.
