Production Manager

Key Responsibilities


Production Management:

• Consistently monitor and evaluate current production, including grading and specs and adjust to improve designs and fit as needed
• Work with designer and management to ensure company meets margin goals with product design
• Monitor production schedule and work directly with factories to ensure product is received in a timely manner
• Have ability to break down costs and analyze where cost improvements can be found
• Lead weekly production meetings with key stakeholders
• Manage any production issues or liabilities
• Track and order all labels required for production

QA:

• Monitor and inspect all final production, ensuring goods are coming in correctly and on specification
• Influence, manage, and facilitate the timely approval of components to support on time deliveries
• Oversee changes in quantities/styles while focusing on delivery times
• Possess strong ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
• Follow through and maintain time and action calendars for all products.
• Monitor production status of all products by season

Sourcing:

• Source and order all trimmings and notions required for production
• Assist in tracking/managing fabric inventory as needed
• Work directly with factories to ensure all fabric is received correctly and on schedule
• Clearly communicate all production details to factory
• Display strong vendor negotiation skills in reference to costing

Qualifications:

Successful Candidate Profile Includes:


• Degree in Fashion Management or similar
• A minimum of two years of experience in apparel production management
• Strong technical knowledge of apparel construction (knowledge of children’s apparel is an asset)
• Competent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Superior organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and problem solve effectively
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
• Self-starter who takes initiative
• Detail oriented
• Passion for fashion with a strong understanding of trends
• Comfort level in assuming ownership and accountability for projects
• Ability to communicate clearly and hold colleagues and vendors accountable to deadlines
