Description

Position Title: Manager in Training and Assistant Manager

Reports To: Store Manager and District Manager

Position Summary: Mendocino is looking to grow the management teams in our 8 boutiques across the

GTA. The MIT/Assistant is responsible in supporting the store manager with company directives, and inspiring and motivating the team through training and development to drive and maximize sales.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

 Meet and exceed sales goals by motivating the team and assisting to execute all company initiatives

 Support store manager in all daily store operations and administrative tasks, including analysis of sales reports and responding to company directives

 Assist store manager in ensuring team is offering unparalleled customer service through motivation, coaching and leading by example and creating an exciting environment for customers and staff.

 Utilize company training tools to develop a cohesive, effective sales team including regular coach-ins, follow up and feedback with all associates when required.

 Adhere to loss prevention procedures and insure they are being followed by team

 Asses the current market and competitors and provide feedback to upper management when required.

 Inspiring team to embrace and demonstrate Mendocino brand and culture

Job Requirements:

 2-5 years retail management experience

 Love of fashion and knowledge of current trends in women’s fashion

 Strong leadership skills

 High producing sales leader

 Hands on experience with coaching and developing teams

 Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem solving skills

 Excellent organization and time management skills

 Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal

 Ability to make decisions and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

 Clear understanding and knowledge of how to use Instagram, SnapChat, Facebook etc.
