OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE


The Inventory control Specialist maintains the accuracy of inventory levels by managing and tracking inventory ​moves associated with all processes including fulfillment, receiving, and customer returns, investigates and escalates discrepancies, continuously improves policies and procedures, and oversees shipping and receiving processes.


This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager



ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Functions: Inventory management / Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving


Assign inventory to fulfilment line throughout the day.


Track productivity and rates of accuracy on goods-issued for fulfilment.


Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts and follow policies and proper sign off processes.


Perform physical inventory and random inventory audits as required.


Perform month end inventory counts, maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts


Identify and troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records


Manage the receiving process of new products and restocks into the warehouse


Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions


Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management


Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.


Oversee Shipping & Receiving.



Requirements and Qualifications


Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, mathematics, or related field preferred


Minimum of one year of related experience in wholesale, warehousing, or logistics


Proficient with computers and other standard office technology


Experience with enterprise resource planning softwares


Superior organizational and communication skills


Strong attention to details


Lean Six Sigma exposure or continuous improvement exposure is a plus
