Holt Renfrew’s “Skybridge” Hosts Prada Pop-Up
From February 8 to 19th, there’s a new ritzy way to cross between Holt Renfrew and Pacific Centre. The “skybridge”, which acts as a pedestrian walkway that connects the two buildings is hosting an Italian café style Prada pop-up. Customers will have the chance to begin their shopping on their way in and out of Holt Renfrew, not being able to resist Prada’s signature handbags and other leather goods in this eye-catching pop-up.

Former Kit&Ace/Lululemon Exec Launches New Menswear Brand
Darrell Kopke, the former executive of popular brands, Kit&Ace and Lululemon has teamed up with the well-known tailor behind Garrison Bespoke, Micheal Nguyen. The pair has created an innovative menswear line that is both technically creative and undeniably stylish. The brand is called Aedelhard and is inspired by rugby, keeping comfort a number one priority. The sleek suiting is “designed to feel like a track suit” with performance tailoring and materials. There is no word yet on which stores might be carrying Aedelhard in the future, however, you can stock up online for now – 2% of every purchase will be donated to inner-city rugby development programs.

Vancouver Welcomes New Bulgari Boutique
The boutique is only their second stand-alone store within Canada, following the Yorkdale Shopping Centre location in Toronto that unveiled in 2014. This high-end jeweller is perfectly positioned next to other upscale brands such as David Yurman and Tiffany & Co. on the ground floor of Pacific Centre’s Holt Renfrew. Bulgari’s new space reflects the brand’s aesthetic of Italian craftsmanship and caters to their original gold and yellow colouring. Featuring an opulent chandelier in the middle of the boutique, Bulgari is sure to be a successful addition to the ongoing luxury renovation of Holt Renfrew.

Time’s Up Movement Expected to Impact Fashion Month
As Men’s Fashion Week came to a close, New York Fashion Week was right behind it, starting its first shows yesterday, February 8th. Since the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements have begun, many designers have been more vocal about displaying their stance through the clothing they create. Even through a political message splashed across a T-shirt, we’re feeling a shift in the fashion industry that is expected to be seen in the next week on the runway. Designers such as Victoria Beckham, Jeremy Scott, and Gabriela Hearst have recently spoken out about the excitement and power it has brought to their creative process. We’re even seeing this momentum inflicting change into backstage policies. The Model Alliance and the Council of Fashion Designers of America have collaborated to ensure more privacy and safety for models working these shows.
