This time of year is always such a love, hate relationship with my closet. The months are getting warmer, and you know you can do your spring shopping soon and everyone loves a good closet makeover. However, the key word for spring shopping is soon. This is where my hate part comes in. February and March are those months where you’re waiting for springs arrivals and you’re over heating in your winter wear. You don’t know what colours or outfits to be wearing because it’s that uncooperative ‘in between’ months.

The girls guide to winter X spring transitional shopping is a lot easier than it looks. You can wear some brighter spring colours, without looking too eager, and also wearing outfits that are great for both winter and spring.

Over the Knee Boots

These are perfect for winter and spring, making them completely reasonable to purchase after the winter months. The varieties of these boots are endless making them great for every women’s wardrobe. You can wear it with denim or leggings in the winter and switch them out with a sweater dress or t shirt dress for spring.

Capes

Capes are a new twist on your classic go-to all season long blazer. Black is still an OK colour for spring, but whites and greys are also acceptable for winter and spring. You wont be disappointed by this purchase.

White Blazer

Like I said blazers are classic and a great go-to all season long. This pick is inspired by no other then SNTF founder Christie Lohr. Spoken like a true fashionista, a white blazer is the perfect purchase for your in between seasons if its not already an addition to your closet.

Culottes

Officially one of my favourite trends of 2015 continuing into 2016. They’re comfortable, sophisticated and suitably avant-garde. They’re perfect for many seasons, including these in-between ones.
