For me, being comfortable in the summer is just as important as being stylish. While we may be able to walk for miles on end in heels during the cooler seasons, this turns into much more of a challenge in the summer heat. I was so happy to see some of my favourite brands coming out with block heel sandals for summer. This is the ideal option when you want to be kind to your feet, but also need to look put together, as flats don’t always have quite the same effect. I think it’s important to have a cute, simple pair of block heel sandals to pair with jeans and a blouse, shirt dresses or rompers. Depending on the heel height, these can be appropriate for anything from lunch with friends to a summer wedding.  There is so much available at a wide price range, so investing in a less expensive pair of bright, fun sandals (like the TopShop ones pictured) is also highly recommended! I own these and love to pair them with a simple black dress for summer nights out.
