If you’ve read some of my recent posts, you know that I have been claiming that the 90s are back in a major way. We have been revisiting the loud colours, the music (anyone catch the N*Sync reunion on the VMA’s the other night?) and of course the outrageous trends. While re-watching old episodes of Beverly Hills 90210 –hey if we’re going to time warp, we gotta do it right- I noticed a few of the characters ensembles making their way into my own closet.  The cropped tops and the high waisted cut offs are a given, but what really convinced me of this blast from the past are the chunky platform shoes. Everyone has been rocking the 90’s, Spice Girls-esque shoes as of late, a more comfortable, laid back approach to the classic high heel. I personally don’t have any desire to revisit this trend, but none the less, platform shoes are hands down this year’s biggest comeback. Score some style tips from iconic characters from the 90’s such as Cher Horowitz and Donna Martin for some funky ways to dress up those sky high shoes.
